Dr. Richtsmeier is the inaugural awardee of the David Bixler Excellence in Craniofacial Research Award, which is funded by generous support from Developmental Dynamics. This award is the Society for Craniofacial Genetics and Developmental Biology’s (scgdb.org) highest scientific honor recognizing long-term distinguished leadership and meritorious contributions to the craniofacial sciences by a Senior Career Scientist and SCGDB member.
Dr. Richtsmeier will accept this award at the 2019 annual meeting, October 14-15th at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, where she will present a lecture and be recognized by the membership.
