Professional Bio
Xuying is an Assistant Research Professor in Dr. Richtsmeier’s lab. She will be conducting two-photon laser-scanning microscopy of embryonic specimens of transgenic mice to track the distribution of fluorescently labeled osteoblast lineage cells of cranial vault bones in 3D. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Chongqing University in 1999, her Master’s degree in 2005 and PhD in Optical Physics, specifically ultrafast spectroscopy and lasers from the City University of New York in 2007. Before joining Dr. Richtsmeier’s lab, she was a Research Associate from Penn State College of Medicine, focusing on the synchrotron micro CT imaging of zebrafish, its image visualization and analysis for biomedical research.
